Paul Heanue
Paul Heanue is the Founder, President and CEO of High Tech Turning Co., Inc. (HTT), an industry-leading CNC machining company created in 1985. An early innovator, Paul used the most advanced CNC machine tools to grow HTT into a premier producer of precision component parts for the medical sector, electronics, aerospace, robotics, and other high-tech industries, with customers ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Before HTT, Paul worked as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Hardinge Inc., based in Elmira, NY. There, he had an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies even before they became publicly available. When Computer Numerical Control (CNC) came onto the scene, Paul knew this would revolutionize manufacturing and seized the opportunity to get in on the ground floor using this new “high tech” innovation; buying a single machine and starting his own company – High Tech Turning.
Initially, Paul worked in the shop, machining parts himself. As the business expanded, HTT’s reputation grew as a company that offered top-tier machining and excellent customer service. To continue the growth, Paul developed a highly-skilled team based on the principle that everyone should be respected and given an opportunity to grow their skills.
By always investing in the latest technologies and focusing the company’s culture on employee development and promoting from within, Paul laid the foundation for a company which could continue without him at the helm. Today, High Tech Turning has over 35 CNC machines, a team of talented experts across the company, and many satisfied long-term customers with momentum that can continue for generations to come.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University. He is now semi-retired and enjoys living with his wife on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
